Free to record. PRO to export.

Dual Recorder has one paid thing, and it is easy to say: getting finished videos out of the app. Everything before that, the two-camera recording, the layouts, What to save, the teleprompter, photos, the library and the editor, is free, with no ads and no account.

FreeRecord with two cameras, every layout, every What-to-save option, the teleprompter, photos and Live Photos, the library, trimming, cropping, captions, rearranging a take
PROExporting videos: Save to Photos and Share for clips, including a rebuilt layout and burned-in captions

Why the gate is the export and nothing else

A recorder you cannot try is a recorder you cannot judge. Every feature runs in full so you can film a real take, arrange it, trim it and see the result in the library before deciding whether the files are worth paying for. The subscription buys the way out: saving videos to Photos and sharing them.

Photos are free to save because a still is not what the app sells. An SRT caption file is free for the same reason. A video with the captions burned in is a video export, so it is PRO.

Where the paywall appears

Once after the last onboarding page, once per launch for people who have not subscribed, when you tap a gated export, and from Settings. Subscribers see Manage subscription instead, which opens Apple’s subscription management. The app never asks twice in one session.

Cancelling, restoring, refunds

  • Cancel or change: Settings on the iPhone, your name, Subscriptions. A cancelled plan keeps working until the end of the paid period.
  • New phone: Settings in the app, Restore purchases. The subscription follows your Apple ID.
  • Refunds: handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, as with every App Store subscription.

If the store cannot be reached

If Apple’s store or the subscription service is unreachable, the app does not lock you out of your own files: exports stay available until the store answers again. A paywall that cannot sell is hidden rather than shown broken.

Questions

PRO, answered

Is there a free trial?

The whole app is the trial: every feature works without paying, and the takes you record stay in the library. Only saving or sharing a video needs PRO. Any introductory offer Apple lists is shown in the app before you subscribe.

Do I lose my takes if I stop subscribing?

No. Takes and photos stay in the app’s library. Videos you already saved to Photos are yours; new video exports need an active subscription again.

Is it one purchase for all my devices?

The subscription is tied to your Apple ID, so it works on any iPhone signed in with it after Restore purchases. Dual Recorder is an iPhone app.

Try everything. Pay for the files.
